About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure and platform services underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering, owning the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow, and Superset in production environments

  • Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for data platform components using Terraform

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments

  • Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards

  • Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata

  • Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

What You'll Need:

  • Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience

  • Advanced Python programming (5+ years)

  • Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration

  • Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms

  • Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services

  • Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency

  • Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production

  • Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata

  • SQL and data modeling expertise

  • Experience with data security and compliance requirements

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

  • Master's degree in relevant field

  • Experience with cybersecurity data

  • Contributions to open-source projects

  • Knowledge of machine learning pipelines

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
