- Develop machining methods, process flows, routings, and manufacturing strategies
- Create manufacturing plans for precision aerospace components
- Design tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
- Support quoting activities and manufacturing cost analysis
- Develop efficient production methods for both new and existing products
- Partner directly with machinists, supervisors, and quality teams
- Solve machining, tooling, and process challenges
- Support new product introductions and production launches
- Improve manufacturing consistency, capability, and throughput
- Reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and inefficiencies
- Improve cycle times and production flow
- Analyze manufacturing data and drive measurable results
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Lead root cause investigations
- Implement corrective and preventive actions
- Improve quality, performance, and reliability across operations
- Create process sheets, work instructions, setup documentation, and routings
- Maintain manufacturing records and process standards
- Support aerospace quality and compliance requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing engineering experience
Additionally:
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering experience
- CNC machining and precision manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience creating manufacturing processes and routings
- Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Mastercam and/or Siemens NX programming experience
- CNC Milling and Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience
- Fixture and tooling design experience
- NX CAD experience
- PPAP experience
- Production launch and first article experience
- Lean Manufacturing expertise
