This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Moncayo Golf & Ocean Club, set outside of Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Moncayo Golf & Ocean Club is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities Department.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Club's facilities and equipment. This role supports the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, grounds, utilities, and mechanical systems while responding promptly to work orders and maintaining Discovery Land Company's high standards of quality and service.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in preserving the Club's facilities by identifying maintenance needs, completing repairs, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members, guests, and fellow employees. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, carpentry, and mechanical equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner while maintaining accurate records of completed work.
• Conduct daily inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including changing filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting motors, belts, fans, and other components.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, fixtures, doors, locks, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, and other building components.
• Monitor HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and other building systems, reporting abnormal performance or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Support operational events by assisting with special setups, activations, and facility preparations for members and guests.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as directed by the Facilities leadership team.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, inventory, and supplies in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable building codes while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Identify and immediately report hazardous conditions, equipment failures, or safety concerns.
• Respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance requests, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance, hospitality, commercial, or similar environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call emergencies.

• Ability to remain calm, organized, and responsive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages are preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
