You will be responsible for maintaining critical Microsoft systems, virtualization platforms, VDI environments, cloud services, and security-focused infrastructure solutions.
The position combines hands-on technical expertise with large-scale infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
You will collaborate with teams across IT operations, security, DevOps, and support to ensure reliable and secure services.

The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing, supporting, and improving enterprise infrastructure services while ensuring availability, security, and operational excellence across multiple environments.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, PKI, and Group Policy.
- Manage access platforms and enterprise services, including collaboration tools, application environments, monitoring, backup systems, and cloud services.
- Support and maintain VDI and terminal server environments, ensuring system performance, patching, documentation, and reliability.
- Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels while participating in operational support activities.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization projects, including domain migrations, VDI platform transitions, server upgrades, and legacy system decommissioning.
- Design implementation plans, create test environments, and execute pilots for infrastructure changes.
- Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, inventories, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous availability of critical systems.
- Collaborate with NOC, InfoSec, DevOps, and support teams to improve infrastructure reliability and security.
The ideal candidate has strong enterprise systems administration experience, deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, and proven ability to manage complex production environments. The role requires technical ownership, attention to detail, and strong collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience administering Microsoft and VDI infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory domain or forest migrations, including object migration and minimizing service disruption.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory services, including domains, forests, trusts, replication, FSMO roles, DFS, GPO, Kerberos/NTLM, auditing, and domain controller deployment.
- Experience managing DNS services, PKI environments, certificate lifecycle management, and TLS implementation.
- Experience with VDI and remote access platforms such as Citrix or similar solutions.
- Knowledge of Windows Server administration, upgrades, patch management, file services, and backup/recovery processes.
- Experience with Linux environments such as Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, CentOS, or RHEL.
- Familiarity with load balancing technologies including nginx, HAProxy, NLB, keepalived, and VRRP.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace administration, cloud environments, SSO/OAuth integrations, and GCP projects.
- Experience with PowerShell automation; Bash, Python, Terraform, or Ansible knowledge is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and production change management skills.
- Ability to plan changes carefully, evaluate dependencies, and prepare rollback strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multicultural and distributed teams.
- Fluent Russian and intermediate or higher English proficiency (B1+) for professional communication.
Nice to have:
- Experience with VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, or Amazon WorkSpaces.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or additional cloud platforms.
- Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, or Proxmox environments.
- Experience managing SAN/iSCSI storage systems or HCI solutions.
- ITIL Foundation or other service management certifications.
