What We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role with demonstrated technical proficiency.
  • Experience leading, training, or directing quality technicians, inspectors, or other manufacturing associates.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection, measurement, testing, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control, or SPC.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, or GD&T.
  • Experience with metrology, gauge calibration, and close-tolerance measurement.
  • Familiarity with receiving inspection, performance testing, and product testing.
  • Ability to use statistical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret quality standards, control plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and production-quality data.
  • Ability to work effectively across Quality, Production, and other manufacturing functions.

The position requires someone capable of performing the testing and measurement activities used within the quality department while also supporting and developing others.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in quality, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Team Leader, Lead Quality Technician, Quality Specialist, Quality Supervisor, or similar position.
  • Experience developing or revising quality standards and standard work.

A high school diploma or GED with relevant work experience is required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Quality Team Leader will:

  • Set clear expectations and hold associates accountable to established quality procedures.
  • Remain calm and objective when quality concerns affect production.
  • Balance strong production partnerships with an unwavering commitment to product quality.
  • Recognize issues early and take appropriate action before they become larger problems.
  • Coach associates effectively and build quality awareness throughout the shift.
