Description

Job Summary
Responsible for making complex repairs on coaches, rebuilding components, training other employees in new skills, etc.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program as a Transit Light Rail Repairer (Mechanics CURRENTLY classified as Transit Light Rail Journeyists or Journeyist Electromechanic are eligible).
EXPERIENCE
  • Successfully pass standardized tests administered by the Authority.
  • Successfully pass a mechanical and electrical aptitude test administered by the Authority.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Able to pass DOT physical.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Utah driver’s Class ‘D’ license.
  • Must be a safe driver with no more than four (4) moving violations in the last (3) years.
  • Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
  • Must be or be able to become Forklift Certified.
  • Must be or be able to become roadway worker protection certified.

This job requires regular and predictable attendance

Shift: 9:00pm - 7:30am with Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday off*

Pay Rate: $36.82 per hour
