This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems Engineer based in the United States.
This role will help design, maintain, and improve enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
You will work across Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, identity, and infrastructure services.
The position combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, automation, security, monitoring, and operational reliability.
You will play a key role in supporting highly available systems while identifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and resilience.
Working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership, you will translate technical challenges into reliable technology solutions.
You will also contribute to vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, technical documentation, and incident response.

- Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve enterprise infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Support enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and telecommunications platforms, including Asterisk-based systems hosted on Linux.
- Troubleshoot Linux-hosted applications and services, including web services, authentication, certificates, Domain Name System (DNS), load balancing, and performance-related issues.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, and other cloud infrastructure services.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support Windows Server environments and associated enterprise infrastructure services.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Manage hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud and on-premises platforms while maintaining reliability, availability, and performance.
- Research, assess, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, recovery exercises, and ongoing infrastructure resilience initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
- Bring at least 5 years of infrastructure engineering experience supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
- Have strong hands-on experience administering Linux operating systems and supporting Linux-hosted applications.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience supporting Asterisk infrastructure on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9 or later.
- Have enterprise-level experience supporting Microsoft Azure technologies and cloud infrastructure.
- Possess strong experience with Windows Server administration, Azure Virtual Desktop, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Have experience administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across infrastructure, networking, identity, and application platforms.
- Have a solid understanding of networking concepts, including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), DNS, routing, and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) network layers.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification or an equivalent cloud certification is preferred.
- Experience with Ansible, Docker or Podman, and infrastructure automation is preferred.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar DevOps tools is an advantage.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and security tools such as Datadog and Netwrix Auditor is preferred.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing methodologies is beneficial.
- For remote work, have reliable high-speed internet using cable or fiber with Ethernet connectivity, with minimum speeds of 70/30 Mbps for basic use, 200–300/35–70 Mbps for shared use, or 500–1,000/100+ Mbps for heavy use.
- Annual compensation generally ranging from $105,000 to $140,000.
