Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care. This role involves utilizing the nursing care process, overseeing the interdisciplinary plan, and ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan. The nurse will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care, promoting health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
- Utilize the nursing care process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Ensure consistency between the plan of care and the medical treatment plan.
- Identify patient problems and prioritize them based on biophysical, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Set goals for patient care and health promotion.
- Provide patient education tailored to identified problems and goals.
- Perform limited laboratory services as required, including specimen collection and processing.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and lead other patient care team members.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey or a multi-state license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- 2 years of medical/surgical or emergency room experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and stabilization.
- ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire.
- PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire.
- CPI certification required for existing team members by 10/31/25, and new team members have 1 year from the hire date.
