Senior Associate - Procurement Consulting (Transformation & Advisory)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Associate - Procurement Consulting (Transformation & Advisory) based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to advise organizations on high-impact procurement transformation and strategic sourcing initiatives.
You will work across cost optimization, category management, operating model transformation, and digital procurement.
The position combines analytical problem-solving with hands-on consulting and meaningful client interaction.
You will independently manage workstreams while collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Your recommendations will help clients improve efficiency, strengthen supplier relationships, and unlock measurable business value.
You will also contribute to technology-enabled procurement initiatives and the evolution of modern procurement operating models.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and support procurement consulting engagements from initial discovery through implementation, independently managing assigned workstreams and ensuring high-quality client delivery.
  • Conduct spend analyses, procurement diagnostics, benchmarking, and market assessments to identify cost-reduction opportunities, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop category strategies, strategic sourcing approaches, supplier management frameworks, and procurement governance models aligned with client business objectives.
  • Research supplier markets and support RFP/RFI development, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract-related activities.
  • Assess existing procurement processes with cross-functional stakeholders and help design and implement transformation and improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements, build alignment, and translate business priorities into actionable procurement strategies.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of digital procurement solutions, including platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Jaggaer, Ivalua, and GEP.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, recommendations, analyses, and reports that communicate insights and business impact clearly to clients and internal leadership.
  • Coach and support junior consultants while contributing to proposal development, knowledge sharing, and broader practice-building initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or consulting, including demonstrated experience delivering work for clients; consulting experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, category management, procurement technology, and relevant market trends.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting data-driven analysis and developing actionable recommendations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Experience with digital sourcing and procurement platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, or Jaggaer is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both operational and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities and an understanding of digital procurement transformation and technology-enabled operating models.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and translate complex procurement challenges into practical solutions.
  • A results-oriented mindset, strong business judgment, and the ability to identify opportunities that deliver measurable value for clients.

  • Competitive base salary of $80,000–$125,000 USD annually, with final compensation determined by geographic location, experience, relevant expertise, education, certifications, and skills.
