We're seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Measurement Technician Assistant to join our team in Williston, ND.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional to build hands-on experience in measurement operations. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will support activities related to meter installation, calibration, proving, sampling, maintenance, and field and shop activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable with physical fieldwork, and eager to learn technical measurement systems and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Assist with installing, calibrating, verifying, and troubleshooting meters, transmitters, and related equipment
- Remove, clean, stage, transport, prepare, and reinstall meters for field and shop operations
- Collect spot or composite gas and liquid samples and safely transport materials
- Record and maintain measurement data, field reports, calibration records, and chain-of-custody documentation
- Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to verify operational readiness
- Maintain tools, inventory, field equipment, and organized shop and warehouse areas
- Participate in cross-training to support operational coverage and technical development
- Follow standard operating procedures and regulatory, quality, safety, and PPE requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in a field-based, industrial, mechanical, oil and gas, energy services, construction, or relevant operational role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electronic devices
- Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and use of mobile devices, tablets, and laptops
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Work Schedule, Travel, & Physical Requirements
- Full-time, field-based position
- Ability to work outdoors and operate a company vehicle for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and after-hours service as operational needs require
- Overnight travel in remote or offshore environments may be required depending on location requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
