Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Inspects and assembles components that are used in production, maintains accurate inventory control, meets all safety, quality/compliance and production objectives and maintains a clean efficient environment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Verifies components used in production are at the standards designated by Quality Control.
2. Verifies quantities and control numbers of issued materials agree with what has been recorded in the material requisition sheet.
3. Maintains inventory accuracy by following all applicable approved SOPs regarding manufacturing and document maintenance.
4. Utilizes various material handling equipment, manual and motorized lift equipment.
5. Utilizes chemical dispensing equipment, automatic burets, manual burets and pipettors to meet production objectives.
6. Maintain cleaning and calibration logs for dispensing, weighing, and measuring devices as well as the Cleaning Maintenance and Use logbooks for the production room.
7. Measure, compound and dispense liquid solutions and powder form chemicals used in production.
8. Comply with all applicable SOPs. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both in American Standard and Metric Systems.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature. Ability to anticipate any issues that may affect other departments and communicate to supervisor.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, etc.)
