This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Construction Project Manager - Data Center based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to manage critical construction projects supporting the growth of high-performance data center infrastructure.
You will oversee projects across the full lifecycle, from design coordination and preconstruction through execution, closeout, and turnover.
Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, you will keep complex initiatives aligned and moving forward.
You will play a hands-on role in managing schedules, budgets, risks, documentation, and project dependencies.
The position is well suited to an organized and proactive project manager who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will contribute to mission-critical infrastructure projects where execution, communication, and attention to detail are essential.
The role also provides meaningful exposure to large-scale construction programs and opportunities to influence project outcomes from planning through delivery.
- Manage assigned facilities and data center construction projects across design, preconstruction, execution, closeout, and turnover.
- Participate in design reviews, preconstruction meetings, contractor coordination sessions, owner meetings, and site visits.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project decisions, action items, risks, dependencies, milestones, and critical-path activities to prevent delays and maintain momentum.
- Support ROM budget development, estimates, cost reviews, change-order evaluations, forecasting, and ongoing budget monitoring.
- Monitor project schedules, scope, costs, milestones, and risks, escalating issues appropriately and supporting timely resolution.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting records, punch lists, closeout documentation, and other project deliverables.
- Partner with project coordination resources to maintain accurate project files, reporting, schedules, and documentation.
- Provide project coverage and operational support when senior leadership is unavailable.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong communication and consistent follow-through across stakeholders.
- Help ensure projects progress efficiently from initial design coordination through final turnover and operational readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction, facilities, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data center environments.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple projects, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of the construction lifecycle, including design coordination, preconstruction, execution, budget management, closeout, and turnover.
- Experience managing project budgets, ROM estimates, schedules, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage priorities and escalate risks when necessary.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and project accountability.
- Experience supporting data center, critical infrastructure, telecommunications, electrical, or mechanical construction projects is highly desirable.
- Experience with projects valued at more than $20 million is preferred.
- Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams is preferred.
- PMP, CCM, LEED, or another relevant construction certification is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required for project and site activities.
- Candidates located in the Central or Eastern United States are preferred.
- Competitive annual base salary of $105,000–$140,000, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and relevant data center or mission-critical construction expertise.
