Law Enforcement Response Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Law Enforcement Response Associate based in the United States.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating sensitive safety and legal matters involving law enforcement and government authorities. You’ll assess urgent and high-risk requests, investigate legal demands for user information, and help ensure timely, accurate responses that protect the client community. Working across law enforcement, government agencies, Safety, Customer Support, Trust, and internal operations teams, you’ll bring sound judgment to complex situations. You’ll manage highly confidential information while documenting investigations and decisions with exceptional accuracy. As an experienced member of the team, you’ll also mentor colleagues and contribute to training and process improvements. The role operates in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment where discretion, analytical thinking, and effective communication are essential.

Accountabilities:
  • Respond to requests from law enforcement agencies and government authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Review and assess requests involving critical safety incidents, emergencies, and active emergency situations that require timely and accurate engagement.
  • Identify potentially high-risk or sensitive matters and escalate them appropriately to Law Enforcement Operations leadership.
  • Investigate, track, analyze, and respond accurately to legal requests for user information, working directly with law enforcement officials, government agencies, and court representatives.
  • Apply sound judgment when evaluating requests and recommend appropriate courses of action based on applicable laws, internal policies, and operational considerations.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of investigations, decisions, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a consistently high level of discretion, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Safety, Trust, and other internal teams to identify relevant criminal matters and refer appropriate cases to law enforcement authorities.
  • Ensure urgent matters are identified and handled efficiently in accordance with applicable legal requirements and internal community standards.
  • Share best practices and subject-matter expertise with Law Enforcement Operations colleagues.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training support to newer associates and contribute to team capability development.
  • Work independently to resolve complex issues while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements, operational enhancements, and the development of more effective procedures and workflows.
  • Manage and prioritize a significant volume of cases while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and accuracy.
  • Support a 24/7 operational function requiring regular shift work, including weekends and some holidays.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in legal operations, investigations, law enforcement response, intelligence, compliance, or analytical roles.
  • Professional fluency in French, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to understand the broader operational and business implications of complex scenarios.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with sensitive information and time-critical requests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to exchange complex information effectively and adapt communication to different audiences.
  • Confidence communicating with law enforcement officials, government agencies, and other external stakeholders at various levels in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with common business and productivity software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and/or Salesforce, or a demonstrated interest and ability to develop expertise in these tools.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing high-volume case or ticket workloads while meeting demanding response requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative when resolving complex issues.
  • Experience acting as a subject-matter expert and providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize deliverables effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience contributing to or leading process improvements is highly desirable.
  • Investigative experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience with data cleaning, data visualization, and/or data engineering is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule within a 24/7 operation, including regular weekend and holiday coverage. Typical schedules include Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.
  • A proactive, adaptable, collaborative mindset and the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
