Program Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, cross-functional programs supporting enterprise customers and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
You will oversee multiple project teams, ensuring resources, delivery standards, customer expectations, and financial objectives remain aligned.
The position combines program governance, project delivery, customer relationship management, team leadership, and operational oversight.
You will work closely with project managers, delivery teams, executives, and customer stakeholders to resolve risks and drive successful outcomes.
The role is particularly suited to a strategic program leader with strong expertise in enterprise asset management and implementation environments.
You will operate in a fast-paced, data-driven setting where structured problem-solving, clear reporting, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
With significant customer exposure and portfolio responsibility, this position offers broad influence over delivery quality, business performance, and long-term client success.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and coordinate critical components of a portfolio of cross-functional programs, ensuring teams have the resources, direction, and support required for successful execution.
  • Manage customer relationships and satisfaction by developing trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and executive contacts.
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations and ensure service-level agreements, key performance indicators, customer commitments, and delivery standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage portfolio financial performance, including revenue, project spend, system costs, operating expenses, operating income, forecasting, and annual budget objectives.
  • Provide overall governance for project delivery and ensure teams follow established program and project management methodologies across waterfall and agile environments.
  • Guide project managers and delivery teams in managing project requirements, priorities, risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Support successful delivery of customer projects, including go-live, post-launch support, and resolution of escalated delivery or customer issues.
  • Develop knowledge of relevant products and solutions to effectively consult with customers and provide training when required.
  • Oversee accurate and timely billing, project reporting, financial analysis, and change-request management.
  • Review project RAID items and provide guidance on risk mitigation, issue resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Manage delivery teams and support day-to-day priorities, engagement, communication, team dynamics, mentorship, and personnel development.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and other program or operational responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or a relevant discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • At least 5 years of program or project management experience, including responsibility for large-scale, complex initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) and large SAP EAM or IBM Maximo implementation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple project managers and complex implementation workstreams.
  • Experience supporting asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, utilities, mining, chemicals, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of program and project management methodologies, including waterfall and agile delivery models.
  • Experience managing external customer delivery, including go-live, post-go-live support, customer escalations, and executive-level communications.
  • Strong knowledge of performance measurement, KPIs, data analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and program financial management.
  • Experience managing significant program budgets, cost controls, and financial objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and program management tools such as MS Project, Basecamp, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Jira projects, reporting, and dashboarding is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to breaking down complex challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, monitor, and successfully conclude multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, combined with an execution-focused mindset.
  • Executive presence and confidence communicating with senior leaders and customer stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric approach with the ability to build productive, long-term business relationships.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%–40% as required for customer engagements, project activities, and business needs.
