Job Description

Banking Onboarding Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Banking Onboarding Manager based in Switzerland.

As a Banking Onboarding Manager, you will take ownership of complex corporate banking and EMI onboarding across multiple jurisdictions and high-risk industries.
You will act as a key link between internal Finance and Legal teams and external banking partners, relationship managers, and compliance officers.
Your expertise will help secure and maintain critical corporate accounts while ensuring demanding underwriting and regulatory requirements are met.
You will manage KYC, KYB, and AML processes, coordinate detailed corporate documentation, and keep applications moving efficiently from submission through approval.
The role requires strong knowledge of international banking, complex ownership structures, and compliance requirements, combined with persistence and excellent organization.
You will also support ongoing banking relationships through annual reviews, transaction queries, and corporate structure updates.
This is a highly autonomous, globally oriented role where your work directly supports the stability and scalability of essential financial operations.

Accountabilities
  • Own end-to-end onboarding and account-opening processes for operational and client bank and EMI accounts across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage banking applications within high-risk industries, ensuring all requirements are understood, documented, and addressed accurately.
  • Gather, review, structure, and submit corporate legal files, UBO ownership documentation, and operational flowcharts required for bank underwriting.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with bank relationship managers, compliance officers, EMIs, and other financial partners.
  • Track active applications closely, proactively follow up on outstanding requirements, and resolve issues to minimize account setup delays.
  • Lead KYC, KYB, and AML processes, including complex onboarding cases, annual reviews, and ad-hoc compliance inquiries.
  • Coordinate responses to transaction-related questions and provide banking partners with accurate and timely supporting information.
  • Manage annual bank reviews and ensure corporate accounts remain compliant with changing requirements.
  • Communicate corporate structure changes to relevant banking and financial partners and coordinate any resulting documentation or review processes.
  • Support Finance and Legal teams with substance requirements across the corporate holding structure.
  • Interpret and coordinate legal documentation such as Certificates of Incorporation, Registers of Directors, Incumbency Certificates, Powers of Attorney, and apostilled documents.
  • Help manage banking and payment relationships across international payment routes, including SEPA and SWIFT.
  • Maintain clear records of onboarding progress, documentation, requests, approvals, and outstanding actions.
  • Identify potential onboarding or compliance bottlenecks early and work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of banking onboarding processes, documentation standards, and partner-management practices.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience opening and managing corporate bank or EMI accounts, ideally within iGaming, cryptocurrency, high-risk FinTech, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of complex UBO and corporate ownership structures and the documentation required to evidence them.
  • Proven knowledge of bank underwriting requirements, apostilled documentation, and international corporate banking processes.
  • Deep understanding of KYC, KYB, and AML requirements, including AML regulations and Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) assessments.
  • Strong legal literacy and confidence working with corporate documentation, including M&A documents, Certificates of Incorporation, Registers of Directors, Incumbency Certificates, Powers of Attorney, and Apostilles.
  • Familiarity with international banking and payment infrastructure, including SEPA and SWIFT payment routes, Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and payment institutions.
  • Strong ability to manage complex applications involving multiple jurisdictions, stakeholders, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the persistence and discipline to track outstanding requests and consistently follow up with banking partners.
  • Clear, professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build high-trust relationships with external banking and compliance stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information in corporate and compliance documentation.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, international environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Prior experience with Payment Service Provider (PSP) onboarding, acquiring solutions, or payment gateway setups is a valuable advantage.
  • A proactive, persistent, and solutions-oriented approach to navigating complex underwriting and compliance processes.
Benefits
  • Fully remote position available from Europe.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Truly international working environment with colleagues based across the world.
  • 28 days of paid annual leave, in addition to public holidays.
  • Opportunity to work directly on complex international banking and financial operations.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy within the Finance function.
  • Exposure to global banking partners, EMIs, payment institutions, and high-risk financial operations.
  • Opportunity to develop expertise across corporate banking, KYC/KYB, AML, and international financial infrastructure.
