The Radiologic Technologist/Mammo technologist is responsible for adhering to all FDA guidelines for the Mammography section. The incumbent will initiate and maintain appropriate records for all accreditation processes and inspections. The incumbent is also responsible for the day-today upkeep of the structured reporting system in order to run audit reports, statistics and problem solving lists. The incumbent will oversee daily billing review and identify corrections needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and quality Mammography procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
- Properly record patient information and maintain EHR
- Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment
- Assist with general patient care if needed
Licensure/Qualifications:
- Required: Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified
- Required: Certified by ARRT in Mammography (M)
- Required: Active NM MIRTP Licensure (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program)
- Required: Current BLS (American Heart Association)
- Preferred: 2 years experience in a Hospital setting
