This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Information Technology based in the United States.

In this position, you will oversee the end-to-end technology landscape supporting core business functions including Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, and Internal Audit. You will define governance frameworks, modernize ERP systems, and guide large-scale transformation initiatives across a complex enterprise ecosystem. This role combines strategic leadership with deep operational oversight, requiring close collaboration with executive stakeholders and external partners. You will drive ERP modernization efforts, ensuring scalability, compliance, and long-term architectural alignment across the organization. Accountabilities
  • Lead the enterprise IT strategy and governance for ERP and business applications supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Tax, Legal, and other corporate functions.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year ERP and enterprise applications roadmap aligned with business transformation, growth initiatives, and modernization priorities.
  • Establish governance standards for ERP lifecycle management, integrations, master data management, change management, and business process optimization.
  • Provide strategic oversight of enterprise platforms including SAP ECC, NetSuite, Concur, Ariba, and other core systems within the enterprise tech stack.
  • Drive ERP modernization and transformation initiatives, including planning and phased implementation of next-generation ERP solutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, Legal, and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX, ITGCs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead vendor, SI, and managed service provider relationships to ensure performance, accountability, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Oversee enterprise application support operations, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide teams responsible for solution architecture, development, QA, testing, and production support across enterprise systems.
  • Promote best practices in documentation, governance, integration architecture, and operational excellence across the IT landscape.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, ERP systems, or business applications leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience leading SAP ECC environments, including SAP FICO, MM, and related enterprise modules.
  • Strong background in ERP governance, enterprise architecture, integrations, and large-scale system transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise applications such as SAP, NetSuite, Concur, Ariba, and similar platforms.
  • Deep understanding of SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), audit readiness, and enterprise risk management.
  • Strong leadership experience managing technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead ERP modernization programs and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with a calm and structured leadership approach.
  • Master’s degree and SAP certifications are considered a plus.
