This role supports our entire brand portfolio, including our primary turnkey business, Architectural Fabrication, and our growing distribution channel, Alumination Architectural Products.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized sheet metal fabricator to join our team. This position involves the operation of specialized sheet metal fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and shape metal, while also using hand tools to snip sheet metal and assisting in the overall assembly of the product. You will also be responsible for the marking & staging of fabricated items. Additionally, this role requires traveling to various job sites to operate portable roll forming equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly wear the required PPE for designated tasks.

  • Safely operate power hand tools and stationary equipment such as angle grinders, miter saws, impact drill, etc..

  • Travel to off-site field locations and operate portable roll forming machinery to produce custom metal components on-site.

  • Set up, program, and operate heavy fabrication machinery (such as press brakes, shears, and roll formers) to manipulate sheet metal.

  • Perform daily machine inspections and preventative maintenance and report problems to the maintenance department.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand fabrication documents and follow their instruction.

  • Ensure all items are correctly identified, labeled, and staged for the appropriate departments.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth flow of fabricated products to support production needs.

  • Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or issues.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include building custom pallets to ship products.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel to off-site job locations and stay overnight as required.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50lbs.

  • Must be proficient in reading a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.

  • Being able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in basic computer applications and operation.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or fabrication role is preferred, with a strong preference for candidates with 2+ years of direct sheet metal fabrication and roll forming experience.

  • Ability to operate and maintain a sit down fork lift preferred.

  • Per diem and/or travel compensation/stipend is provided for extended off-site travel assignments, with rates based on the specific location of the job site.
