Position Summary
Serves as crew leader and will aid in the day-to-day supervision of the greens crew. Will serve as Irrigation tech. and spray tech. as needed.
Essential Functions
- Supervises staff in the absence of Golf Operations Manager.
- Applies pesticides as needed in a safe and responsible manner.
- Operates all equipment needed for irrigation installation.
- Train irrigation staff and help operate the system.
- Assist in training newly hired Greenskeepers.
- Responsible for keeping updated records for all pesticide requirements and pest control systems.
- Understands and performs all Greenskeeper duties.
- Monitors Greenskeeper performance to ensure that policy standards are achieved.
- Presents friendly attitude towards all guests; is aware of all services and activities happening at Chinook Winds Casino Resort to be able to field questions presented by guests.
- Reports to supervisor and maintenance any potential security/safety threat posed within the guestrooms or common areas of the Resort.
- Other duties as required.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
Three years' experience in golf course maintenance
Supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates & Licenses
Valid Oregon Driver's License or ability to obtain Driver's License within 90 days.
Must acquire and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.
Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator license is required, or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of landscaping maintenance and chemical use such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

Work Environment

Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
