WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Responsible for displaying, storing, rotating and culling the Produce Department in alignment with store and management goals and direction
• Follows best practices to promote Produce sales and freshness, work efficiently, limit waste/shrink and educate customers on product
• Ensures displays are fully stocked, rotated, plentiful, seasonally relevant, and optimally fresh during all business hours
• Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of all Produce backstock areas; maintains constant pulse on inventory and reacts accordingly
• Communicates Produce information to staff and customers to increase sales and provide excellent service

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be available to report for work on time, weekend availability required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience handling produce, grocery, or perishable items required
• Merchandising and customer service experience required
• Must possess a passion for local food and an interest in telling the story behind it.
• Must conduct oneself in an honest, professional and respectful manner at all times.
• Must possess a love of people, interact with people well, and possess a desire for excellent customer service.
• Able to take direction, work independently, and as a member of a team, and able to create working relationships.
• Must be highly motivated, hard working, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Must pay attention to details, be organized, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
