About the role

IronLeaf Designs is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our growing fabrication team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to accurately form and bend metal components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of hands-on press brake experience, understands metal fabrication processes, can read and interpret technical drawings, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot issues when they arise, and contribute positively to a collaborative shop environment.

What you'll do

  • Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and production documentation
  • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
  • Determine proper bend sequences, tooling, and machine settings
  • Measure and inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, angles, tolerances, and overall quality
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, squares, and tape measures accurately
  • Make machine and tooling adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and consistency
  • Identify and troubleshoot forming, tooling, and dimensional issues
  • Handle materials and finished components safely and efficiently
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the production team
  • Assist with other fabrication and shop responsibilities as production needs require

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of press brake operating experience required
  • Demonstrated experience setting up and operating press brake equipment
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal forming and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Ability to accurately use common measuring and inspection tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple production priorities
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
