Under the guidance and supervision of the nurse, the supervisor shares the responsibility for total patient needs. As a member of the nursing team, he/she performs a variety of technical and skilled patient care duties, many of which were acquired through nursing education and supervised on-the-job training and experiences. The Registered Nurse shares the responsibility of providing a safe and comfortable environment conducive to healing while delivering quality care. Assist a physician or nurse practitioner as needed to provide all care.
Education:
- Associates Degree
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course or successful completion of validation exam within 1 year of employment
- Basic Critical Care Course or successful completion of validation exams within 2 years of employment
License, Certificates, etc.
- Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia
- BLS
- Non-violent Crisis Training within 6 months of employment
- ACLS within 6 months of employment
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Preferred
- At least one year experience
