This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity for a technically strong manager who can lead high-performing teams while remaining deeply engaged with architecture and complex technical decisions.
You will operate at the intersection of people leadership, product delivery, scalable system design, engineering excellence, and AI-powered development.
The role requires translating business and product objectives into practical technical strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans.
You will guide teams in building reliable, secure, maintainable, and high-performance systems across modern web and cloud technologies.
A major focus will be establishing AI-first engineering practices that improve developer productivity, delivery velocity, and software quality.
You will partner closely with Product, Design, DevOps, Security, Data, and other technical teams to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who combines strong technical credibility with a passion for developing people and continuously improving how software is built.

• Provide technical leadership and direction across engineering teams while remaining hands-on enough to guide complex architectural and technical decisions.
• Design, develop, and scale high-performance systems using appropriate architectural patterns for horizontal and vertical scalability.
• Own and influence architecture, technical strategy, technology selection, engineering standards, and long-term modernization initiatives.
• Translate product and business requirements into clear technical plans, architecture decisions, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Evaluate trade-offs involving scalability, performance, reliability, security, maintainability, cost, and time-to-market.
• Identify opportunities for modernization, simplification, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Champion AI-first software development and establish effective practices for using LLMs and AI-powered development tools throughout the software lifecycle.
• Promote responsible AI adoption across requirements analysis, architecture, coding, modernization, testing, debugging, documentation, code reviews, and knowledge discovery.
• Establish appropriate standards for AI-assisted development covering code quality, security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and architectural integrity.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and intelligent automation to improve engineering productivity, delivery velocity, and software quality.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering ownership, accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Participate in hiring, team building, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
• Drive predictable, high-quality delivery while maintaining strong focus on customer impact, reliability, and engineering quality.
• Improve engineering practices around code quality, unit testing, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, code reviews, and release management.
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum processes and continuously improve team execution and delivery practices.
• Identify and remove technical, organizational, and process bottlenecks affecting engineering velocity.
• Establish metrics and mechanisms to improve productivity, quality, reliability, and delivery predictability.
• Partner with Product, Design, Architecture, DevOps, Security, Data, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact capabilities.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and delivery plans clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Balance immediate product delivery requirements with long-term architectural investments and engineering sustainability.
• Take ownership of ambiguous and complex technical problems and drive them through to resolution.
• Encourage experimentation with emerging AI technologies and help transition successful experiments into reliable production solutions.

• 8+ years of strong software engineering experience, including demonstrated technical leadership and experience managing engineering teams or leading major technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers while maintaining strong technical credibility and the ability to engage deeply with complex engineering challenges.
• Experience with several modern technologies across frontend, backend, cloud, infrastructure, and distributed systems, such as:
  • Frontend: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, React, Redux, Redux Middleware, React Hooks, Next.js.
  • Backend: Java, PHP, Go, Python, Node.js, or equivalent technologies.
  • Architecture: Distributed systems, microservices, APIs, scalable architectures, event-driven systems, asynchronous processing, Kafka, and similar messaging or streaming platforms.
  • Engineering Practices: Unit testing, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, Jenkins.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, API gateways, CDNs, Service Workers, Elasticsearch, and related cloud-native technologies.
  • Frontend Architecture: Single-page applications (SPAs) and progressive web applications (PWAs).
  • Mobile: React Native is a plus.
  • Analytics: GTM, Hotjar, and similar product or customer analytics platforms.
  • Design Collaboration: Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or comparable design tools is advantageous.
• Ability to understand technology choices, evaluate engineering trade-offs, and rapidly learn technologies outside your existing expertise.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast-changing situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
