PeopleSoft HCM Payroll Functional Consultant in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PeopleSoft HCM Payroll Functional Consultant based in India.

This is an opportunity for an experienced PeopleSoft professional to contribute to a large-scale Payroll Transformation initiative spanning multiple countries across EMEA and APAC.
You will use your functional expertise to analyze, redesign, and improve complex payroll and benefits processes.
The role combines deep PeopleSoft HCM knowledge with integration expertise, data analysis, testing, and business process improvement.
You will work closely with developers, vendors, business users, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Your work will directly support the resolution of critical payroll issues and the delivery of reliable, scalable HR technology solutions.
The position offers significant ownership across functional design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and transformation activities.
It is particularly suited to a senior consultant who can operate independently, communicate effectively, and join the project immediately.

• Analyze existing payroll and benefits processes across multiple countries and identify opportunities for improvement, remediation, and optimization.
• Redesign and resolve business process issues involving payroll, benefits, and third-party or vendor integrations across EMEA and APAC.
• Configure, enhance, and support PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Payroll and Benefits functionality.
• Analyze integration requirements and coordinate interfaces between PeopleSoft and external or vendor systems.
• Work closely with PeopleSoft developers, vendors, business users, and other stakeholders throughout implementation and transformation activities.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications, solution/design documents, test scripts, test scenarios, test plans, and other project documentation.
• Support functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, including defect investigation and resolution.
• Use SQL for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
• Review technical solutions with PeopleSoft developers and assess their alignment with functional requirements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for functional and integration issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.
• Provide functional guidance throughout payroll implementation, transformation, enhancement, and support activities.
• Contribute to successful delivery across a complex multi-country payroll environment while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience working with PeopleSoft HCM.
• Strong hands-on expertise with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Payroll and Benefits.
• Deep understanding of payroll processes, configurations, business requirements, and functional workflows.
• Proven experience with PeopleSoft integrations and third-party/vendor system integrations.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Experience delivering payroll implementations, transformations, enhancements, or production support initiatives.
• Strong ability to create and maintain functional specifications, design documents, test scripts, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft technical components such as Application Engine, SQR, interfaces, and integrations.
• Ability to understand and evaluate technical solutions and collaborate effectively with PeopleSoft developers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and determine root causes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with vendors, developers, business users, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting multi-country payroll environments, particularly across EMEA and APAC, is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage priorities within transformation and implementation projects.
• 8+ years of experience is required for this senior functional consulting opportunity.
• Immediate availability or ability to join immediately is required.
• Willingness to complete a background verification (BGV) process as part of onboarding.
