Tampa Family Pharmacy is now hiring Pharmacy Manager, PIC in Tampa, FL

Schedule: This is a full-time onsite position with the following regular schedule:

Monday – Thursday 8:00am- 5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-1:00pm

What You’ll Do

Pharmacy Manager – PIC will be responsible for Planning, Coordinating and Executing of all day-to-day operational activities across the organization to achieve operational excellence. In addition to day-to-day operations, they will ensure all organizational policies and practices are in accordance with Tampa Family Pharmacy and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

  • Oversees perpetual CII count and control inventory; completes biennial control inventory on time.
  • Develop and coach staff to attain department productivity, schedule adherence and quality standards.
  • Monitor team productivity and performance on a daily basis.
  • Manage employees as necessary or required to a performance plan.
  • Investigates medication errors and oversees resolutions as well as thorough reports completed.
  • Oversees cashier compliance with point of sale and cash handling procedures.
  • Create and report metrics through monthly CQI and develop plan of action to prevent errors from re-occurring.
  • Assist Operations Director with effective completion of annual staff reviews and competency checklist completion.
  • Organizing resources to maximize through put of all processes and workflow.
  • Daily planning and execution of workflow schedule and activities
  • Ensure resources are cross trained in all operational areas to avoid any bottle necks or disruptions in workflow.
  • Ensure all operational activities are orchestrated to achieve set forth monthly Key performance indicators.
  • Inventory management.
  • Maintain proper storage, safety and security conditions for drugs in accordance with state and federal requirements.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

  1. Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in pharmacy, with Specialty experience preferred.
  2. Current, unrestricted license in the State of Florida
  3. Must have a minimum of 2 years of previous leadership/management skills
  4. Must be willing to travel and attend educational or GPO requirements
  5. Must be able to deliver in-service training and education to staff members in group setting
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public
  8. Minimum 5 years retail pharmacy experience
  9. AAHIVM certification preferred
  10. Prior leadership, supervisory, or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred.
  11. Demonstrated experience with pharmacy compliance, regulatory requirements, quality assurance programs, audits, and maintaining operational standards.
  12. Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, including controlled substance management, recordkeeping, and pharmacy policies and procedures.
  13. Proven ability to lead pharmacy staff, drive workflow efficiency, and promote a culture of patient safety and compliance.
