Position Responsibilities:
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing procurement, materials management, inventory control, and logistics activities within a manufacturing environment. The individual will serve as a hands-on leader, supporting daily operations while driving process standardization, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure material availability aligns with production and customer commitments.
- Provide day-to-day leadership for purchasing, materials management, inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Lead and develop a team of procurement and materials professionals through coaching, accountability, and performance management.
- Support sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, purchase order execution, and supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program teams to ensure alignment between material readiness and production requirements.
- Manage supplier performance related to quality, cost, delivery, and service expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial terms, reduce lead times, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Oversee inventory planning and control processes to balance material availability with working capital objectives.
- Partner with production leadership to support achievable production schedules based on material and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities while ensuring efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, receiving, and shipping documentation and transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance.
- Support process integration and standardization efforts across multiple business units.
- Foster ethical sourcing practices, operational discipline, and adherence to company standards and values.
Position requirements:
- Progressive experience in procurement, materials management, supply chain, or related manufacturing leadership roles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow processes.
- Experience with supplier management, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and procurement execution.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing plant environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
Preferred Requirements:
- APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certification.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Six Sigma training or certification.
- Experience supporting multiple business units within a manufacturing organization.

The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 135,000 USD per year(Tulsa, OK)
