Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 4:00pm

OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Fastenal Cold Heading Engineer, you will be performing a variety of tasks dealing with the many facets of a cold heading manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include trouble shooting, creating process control and improvement plans, performing capability studies and production efficiencies, among other duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Designing tooling for the cold heading industry
o Calculating the cost of material and labor for various projects
o Designing fixtures, ordering tooling, and sourcing with outside vendors
o Problem solving and collaborating with Manufacturing, Sales and Quality Assurance departments
o Assisting with shop floor time studies, tooling issues, Standard Operating Procedures and quality concerns
o Providing CAD design and improvement support to team members

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
o Possess related work experience
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Willingness to speak in front of large groups of people
o Mechanically inclined
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous experience using Autodesk AutoCAD

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $45,000 - 75,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
