Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Channel Marketing Manager, Commercial based in the United States.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced channel marketing professional to help shape and accelerate commercial growth across automotive, industrial, and B2B distribution channels. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of sales, marketing, and distribution strategy, driving both sell-in and end-user demand in complex routes to market. The commercial channel is a key growth frontier where foundational strategies are still being developed, offering significant ownership and visibility. You will collaborate closely with sales leaders, distributors, and internal brand teams to define how products are positioned, sold, and activated across multiple channels. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building structure where none exists, and can translate strategy into measurable commercial outcomes. You will have a direct impact on revenue growth, margin performance, and channel effectiveness across the US market.
- Own and develop the US commercial channel marketing strategy, including long-term vision, annual planning, and execution across industrial and automotive distribution channels.
- Build and implement strategies for mid-market commercial accounts where no established framework currently exists, creating scalable growth models.
- Drive alignment between sell-in strategies to distributors and pull-through demand generation with end users to maximize sales velocity.
- Lead SKU assortment planning, packaging strategy, and channel-specific product portfolio optimization.
- Design and execute account-based activation plans in partnership with sales, brand, and digital teams, securing internal alignment and investment approval.
- Represent the commercial channel in distributor meetings, trade shows, and sales engagements as a credible subject matter expert.
- Strengthen internal commercial marketing capability by educating and influencing cross-functional stakeholders on channel dynamics.
- Manage external partners and agencies responsible for channel campaigns, activations, and content development from briefing through performance evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure execution excellence and shared accountability for growth outcomes.
- Ensure all channel marketing initiatives support revenue growth, margin improvement, and return on investment targets.
- 7+ years of experience in channel marketing, distributor marketing, or commercial marketing roles within industrial, automotive, or B2B distribution environments.
- Deep understanding of B2B channel dynamics, including sell-in, sell-through, distributor economics, and end-user demand generation.
- Proven experience working across complex routes to market such as industrial supply, automotive aftermarket, MRO, or related sectors.
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders including sales teams, brand leaders, and senior executives.
- Demonstrated success operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where strategy must be built and refined over time.
- Strong financial acumen with experience building business cases, managing budgets, and contributing to P&L discussions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust across both internal teams and external partners.
- Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership of both strategic and tactical work.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field required; MBA is a plus.
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks.
- Performance-based bonus eligibility.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Retirement savings plan.
- Paid time off and flexible work arrangements.
- Strong culture of belonging, collaboration, and values-driven leadership.
- Learning and development-focused environment with opportunities for career growth.
- High employee engagement and strong organizational pride.
- Opportunity to shape and build a growing commercial channel strategy from the ground up.
- Exposure to cross-functional leadership and high-impact strategic initiatives.
