As a Learning and Development Manager, you will play a strategic role in shaping workforce capability, leadership development, and organizational growth across a distributed workforce. This position offers the opportunity to design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise-wide learning initiatives that support both employee development and long-term business objectives. Working closely with executive leadership, HR, and operational teams, you will help create scalable programs that strengthen talent pipelines, succession planning, and career progression. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys building impactful learning experiences while driving measurable organizational outcomes. - Develop, implement, manage, and continuously enhance learning and development programs, including onboarding, new hire orientation, leadership development, mentorship initiatives, internship programs, tuition reimbursement programs, technical training platforms, succession planning initiatives, and career pathing frameworks.
- Design and execute a multi-year learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals, workforce planning priorities, and long-term growth objectives.
- Assess organizational learning needs and establish annual training priorities, development plans, and capability-building initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to identify skill gaps, workforce readiness needs, and leadership development opportunities.
- Create competency models, career development frameworks, and succession planning strategies that support employee growth and organizational sustainability.
- Manage learning technologies, HRIS and LMS platforms, training vendors, and external learning resources to maximize program effectiveness.
- Establish KPIs, reporting metrics, and analytics to measure learning outcomes, program effectiveness, employee development, and return on investment.
- Facilitate leadership workshops, training sessions, and professional development programs while serving as an internal consultant on employee development and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional learning initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and lifelong learning throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with departments to support technical, operational, safety, quality, and role-specific training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPTD, CPLP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, ATD certifications, or similar credentials are preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Talent Development, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide learning, leadership development, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, leadership development, and workforce planning.
- Experience developing and managing learning programs, competency frameworks, succession planning initiatives, and employee development strategies.
- Familiarity with learning management systems, HRIS platforms, and digital learning tools; experience with Coursera or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed or multi-state workforces is preferred.
- Background within engineering, technical, professional services, or similarly complex operational environments is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage workforce data and learning metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on program design, implementation, and execution.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $105,000 to $135,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
