You will work closely with senior stakeholders to translate regulatory, operational, and business requirements into actionable security strategies. A key part of the role involves leading engagements end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and operational handover. You will also contribute to building reusable frameworks, accelerators, and methodologies that elevate delivery consistency across client projects. In this role, you will lead high-impact Google Cloud security engagements while shaping architecture, strategy, and delivery standards:
- Lead secure Google Cloud architecture design across IAM, networking, workload protection, data security, logging, monitoring, and compliance domains.
- Advise enterprise clients on cloud security strategy aligned with business risk, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.
- Conduct cloud security posture assessments to identify misconfigurations, control gaps, and key risk exposures.
- Design and guide implementation of Security Command Center and Security Command Center Enterprise, including tuning and operationalization.
- Advise on SIEM modernization, including telemetry strategy, detection engineering, log rationalization, and SOC workflow design.
- Support integration of cloud-native security tools such as CNAPP/CSPM platforms and vulnerability management solutions into enterprise environments.
- Translate complex technical findings into executive-level risk insights, remediation roadmaps, and investment priorities.
- Lead end-to-end technical workstreams, including scope definition, delivery oversight, stakeholder alignment, and risk management.
- Develop architecture diagrams, assessment reports, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor consultants and contribute to the development of reusable frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and support automation efforts to improve delivery efficiency and consistency.
- Provide executive advisory support during client briefings, architecture reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
The ideal candidate brings strong Google Cloud security expertise combined with consulting experience in complex enterprise environments:
- 8+ years of experience in security consulting across multiple domains, including at least 4 years focused on Google Cloud.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud security architecture, IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, and data protection.
- Proven experience designing and operationalizing secure Google Cloud environments from discovery through implementation.
- Background working with frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, or CMMC.
- Experience with cloud-native security tools, including Security Command Center or equivalent platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM architectures, SOC operations, detection engineering, and cloud telemetry strategies.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale security posture assessments and cloud modernization initiatives.
- Strong consulting and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and high-stakes engagements.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to executive stakeholders and translate technical risks into business language.
- Strong documentation abilities, including architecture diagrams, reports, roadmaps, and implementation guidance.
- Ability to balance security best practices with business needs, operational constraints, and maturity levels.
- Relevant Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $125,000 – $217,000 annually (based on experience, location, and qualifications)
