This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer – E-commerce based in Brazil.

This is a senior-level Quality Engineering role focused on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of complex e-commerce systems that operate across web, API, and data-intensive backend services. You will play a key role in building robust automated testing frameworks that validate distributed architectures, microservices, and event-driven pipelines. The environment is highly dynamic, working with modern engineering teams that prioritize automation, shift-left testing, and continuous delivery. You will be responsible for improving product quality at scale by identifying risks early and ensuring seamless end-to-end user experiences. The role blends deep technical QA expertise with strong collaboration across engineering and product teams. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system challenges in fast-paced, global product environments.

Accountabilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems to ensure end-to-end quality coverage.
Develop and execute API testing strategies for RESTful services, third-party integrations, and contract validation using tools such as Postman and PyTest.
Validate complex backend workflows, including asynchronous event-driven pipelines, message brokers, large file uploads, and multi-stage processing systems.
Perform functional, integration, and exploratory testing across both modern and legacy systems to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers using shift-left testing principles to identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
Contribute to improving test strategies, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering practices across the organization.

Requirements:

7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with strong exposure to automation and complex system testing.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or PyTest.
Strong expertise in API testing, including REST APIs, Postman, and backend validation strategies.
Experience testing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems.
Solid understanding of data flows, message queues, and asynchronous processing systems.
Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with strong object-oriented programming fundamentals.
Experience validating integrations, data pipelines, and system-level end-to-end workflows.
Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze and validate data consistency across systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively across technical and product teams.
