This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong technical expertise to play a key role in supporting a global finance organization. The position focuses on complex accounting matters, financial compliance, and the application of accounting standards across multiple international entities. Working in a collaborative and remote-first environment, you will partner with cross-functional teams and external advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness. The role offers exposure to high-impact projects involving revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, debt and equity transactions, and global consolidations. You will contribute to process improvements, policy development, and strategic accounting initiatives while helping strengthen financial operations on a global scale. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges and driving operational excellence.
- Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions for complex and non-routine transactions under US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting key judgments related to functional currency assessments, debt accounting, equity transactions, revenue recognition, and other specialized accounting matters.
- Monitor emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on financial reporting and business operations.
- Support global accounting consistency by ensuring accounting policies and procedures are applied uniformly across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting, technical disclosures, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with tax teams and external advisors on transfer pricing matters, intercompany accounting, and cross-border financial considerations.
- Lead efforts to optimize intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliations, eliminations, settlements, documentation, and policy standardization.
- Review complex customer contracts and provide guidance on accounting treatment for diverse revenue streams, including licensing, training, software, and intellectual property arrangements.
- Support external audits by preparing technical documentation, schedules, and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Drive key accounting projects related to functional currency assessments, capitalization policies, debt accounting, equity transactions, stand-alone selling price methodologies, and process transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to ERP enhancements, close process improvements, and financial systems optimization efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with IFRS is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience conducting technical accounting research and preparing detailed accounting position papers and memoranda.
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, foreign currency matters, debt and equity accounting, consolidations, and global financial reporting.
- Experience working with external auditors, consultants, and professional advisors.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and financial close automation tools.
- Experience operating within multi-entity and international business environments is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication abilities with the capacity to explain complex accounting concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 USD, based on qualifications and experience.
