This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Statistical Programmer based in the United States.
This role sits at the core of clinical research programming, transforming clinical trial data into high-quality statistical outputs that support regulatory submissions, publications, and evidence generation for medical products and devices. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining robust SAS programs that produce datasets, tables, listings, and figures aligned with Statistical Analysis Plans. The position requires close collaboration with statisticians, data managers, clinical teams, and external vendors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of all deliverables. You will contribute to the implementation of CDISC standards and support SDTM and ADaM dataset creation in a regulated environment. This is a detail-oriented, impact-driven role where quality, compliance, and scientific rigor are essential. You will also participate in process improvements and modernization efforts that enhance programming efficiency and standardization across studies.
Deliver high-quality statistical programming outputs supporting clinical trials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with study requirements and regulatory standards.
- Develop, validate, and maintain SAS programs to generate datasets, tables, listings, and figures in accordance with SAPs and study specifications.
- Create, document, and support SDTM and ADaM datasets while ensuring compliance with CDISC standards.
- Collaborate with Statistics, Data Management, Clinical teams, and external vendors to clarify requirements and resolve data or programming issues.
- Ensure programming deliverables meet quality, timeline, and regulatory expectations, including traceability and audit readiness.
- Support the development of analysis specifications, SAP input, and data presentation outputs for clinical studies.
- Perform validation, quality control, and documentation of programming outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute to workflow optimization, standardization initiatives, and modernization of programming processes.
- Support ad hoc analyses and ensure alignment between clinical data flow and statistical reporting needs.
Candidates should bring strong SAS programming expertise and experience working in regulated clinical or life sciences environments, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience in clinical trial programming, statistical programming, or regulated data environments.
- Strong SAS programming skills, including data step programming, procedures, macros, and debugging.
- Solid understanding of CDISC standards, especially SDTM and ADaM.
- Experience creating datasets, tables, listings, figures, and supporting clinical study reporting.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial data flow from collection through analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, validated outputs.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with R, Python, SQL, Git, or SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus.
- Familiarity with controlled programming environments, SOPs, and audit-ready documentation preferred.
- Experience in medical device or therapeutic area studies is an advantage.
- Annual base salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, plus eligibility for discretionary annual bonus.
