Associate Content Strategist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Content Strategist based in the United States.

In this role, you will help craft compelling, high-impact messaging that supports mission-driven organizations and political advocacy campaigns across multiple digital channels. You will work at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and performance, creating persuasive content that drives engagement, fundraising, and community action. Collaborating closely with strategists, account teams, and production specialists, you will shape narratives that are tailored, authentic, and optimized for impact. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply creative, with opportunities to contribute to meaningful social and political outcomes. You will be exposed to a wide variety of writing formats, from email and SMS to social media and advertising, gaining experience in performance-driven content strategy. Accountabilities
  • Write clear, persuasive, and engaging content across email, SMS, web, advertising, and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with account strategists, ad specialists, and production teams to develop cohesive messaging strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Maintain and adapt distinct brand and voice styles for nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, and political campaigns.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, creative ideation, and campaign planning discussions.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and revise content to meet strategic and performance objectives.
  • Analyze content performance data to help inform future messaging and optimization strategies.
  • Support the development of compelling narratives that drive engagement, conversions, and fundraising outcomes.
Requirements
  • Introductory experience in writing or content creation, such as internships, academic writing, journalism, speechwriting, or digital content production.
  • Strong ability to write in different tones and voices, adapting messaging to diverse audiences and objectives.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly on written content.
  • Strong curiosity for language, storytelling, and understanding why certain messaging works effectively.
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to experiment and develop bold, out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Interest in political communication, nonprofit work, or mission-driven storytelling is highly valued.
  • Exposure to performance metrics, digital analytics, or content optimization is a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for using communication and storytelling to drive positive social impact.
