This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Product Management (Fintech) based in the United States.
This senior leadership role sits at the heart of a high-growth fintech product organization, owning the vision and strategy for Payments and Risk across a mission-critical platform. You will define how users move, access, and protect money through seamless financial experiences that directly impact business growth and customer trust. The role combines long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring a leader who can translate complex financial systems into simple, scalable product solutions. You will lead and grow a team of Product Managers while partnering closely with Engineering, Risk, Analytics, and Strategy teams to build resilient financial infrastructure. This position is both highly strategic and deeply operational, shaping core revenue drivers such as payments GMV, net take, and risk exposure. You will also play a key role in embedding AI-driven product development practices across the organization. - Define and own the long-term product vision and strategy for Payments and Risk domains, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as payments GMV, engagement, net take, and loss mitigation
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, providing coaching, structure, and career growth opportunities
- Drive product execution across roadmaps, ensuring delivery of impactful initiatives tied to financial performance and customer outcomes
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Risk teams to build scalable, secure, and reliable payments infrastructure
- Oversee risk strategy across the product organization, ensuring risk considerations are embedded in all product decisions
- Guide PMs in setting OKRs and executing initiatives that deliver measurable business impact
- Champion the use of AI tools and modern product development practices to increase team velocity and quality
- Partner cross-functionally with Analytics and Strategy teams to ensure data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle
- Balance strategic roadmap planning with hands-on leadership to ensure consistent delivery of high-impact outcomes
- 10+ years of experience in product management, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience leading large product teams in B2B SaaS or vertical SaaS environments
- Strong expertise in payments ecosystems, ideally including experience with providers such as Stripe, Square, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of risk management, financial protections, and compliance considerations in fintech products
- Demonstrated success in defining product strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes at scale
- Experience building and scaling platform-level products and financial infrastructure systems
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring product leaders
- Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve product development efficiency and execution quality
- Strong strategic thinking combined with strong execution and bias for action
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and prioritize customer and business outcomes
- Deep product intuition with a strong focus on simplicity, usability, and value creation
- Competitive base salary: $159,000 – $198,000 USD annually, plus bonus and equity
