This is a high-impact academic leadership role focused on elevating teaching quality across a globally distributed online school. You will work at the intersection of pedagogy, coaching, and learning analytics to ensure teaching excellence is consistently delivered across virtual classrooms. The role combines classroom observation, instructional coaching, and curriculum refinement to help teachers deliver highly effective, student-centred learning experiences. You will partner closely with academic leaders to strengthen teaching frameworks, improve onboarding, and scale best practices across departments and regions. A key part of the role involves transforming student performance data into actionable interventions that support both struggling learners and high-performing students. Operating in a fully online, international environment, you will help shape a future-focused education model designed for ambitious, high-achieving students worldwide.
- Observe and evaluate virtual classroom teaching, online assessments, and student work to provide targeted, constructive feedback that improves instructional quality and teacher performance.
- Lead coaching and professional development initiatives, supporting teachers in refining their practice and aligning with a high-performance instructional model.
- Collaborate with Heads of Department to enhance curriculum design, schemes of work, and onboarding processes for new teaching staff.
- Use learning analytics and student data to identify learning gaps, design interventions, and support differentiated instruction that improves student outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of teaching best practices across global campuses, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement in academic delivery.
- Experienced educator with a strong track record of classroom teaching excellence and a deep understanding of effective pedagogy.
- Proven ability to coach and develop teachers, with experience in instructional leadership, mentoring, or academic quality assurance.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret student data and translate insights into practical teaching interventions.
- Familiarity with online or blended learning environments, with confidence using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, support, and inspire educators across different contexts.
- Strong organisational and collaboration skills, comfortable working across departments and international teams.
