Position Summary

The Environmental Service Staff is responsible for taking care of the housekeeping needs of the shelter program. This responsibility includes the service of the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the facilities. The goal of this position is to maintain the highest quality of cleanliness and help the environment stay as aesthetically appealing as possible for our clients, visitors and personnel.

Shifts Available:

  • Full-Time
  • Afternoon/Evenings:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred OR relatable life and/or work experience to be verified by references and/or employment verification.
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals utilized in routine cleaning helpful.
  • Familiarity with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents helpful.

Responsibilities:

  • Assure that cleaning chemicals and paper products are always stocked and in sufficient supply.
  • Perform any duties requested by the Supervisor to insure a safe and clean environment for our clients.
  • Clean assigned areas of the facility as directed by the supervisor.
  • Report unsafe conditions observed on your shift to a department Supervisor.
  • Ability to learn and perform all aspects of floor maintenance.
