About the Role:
As a Bartender in Pittsburgh, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional guest experience by expertly preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages in a fast-paced environment. Your primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service, accurate order taking, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will engage with patrons to provide recommendations, handle transactions efficiently, and uphold all safety and sanitation standards. Minimum Qualifications:
- Legal age to serve alcohol in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role within a hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment operation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
- Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology techniques.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume setting.
- Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers warmly, take drink orders, and provide recommendations based on customer tastes and current promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately, ensuring proper billing and change.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and legal regulations related to alcohol service, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service flow and resolve any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
