WRA is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Proposal Coordinator to join our Virginia Beach, VA office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong writing skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a high level of accountability from start to finish. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting deadlines, and produce accurate, polished work under pressure. Success in this position depends on strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting efficient, high-quality proposal efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate proposals, presentations, and supporting materials into polished, client-ready packages
- Write, edit, and produce responses to solicitations (SOQs, RFQs, RFPs), including research, technical content, graphics, and layout/design
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage the full proposal lifecycle from kickoff through delivery
- Review solicitations for requirements and ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and high quality
- Support development of graphics, written content, and interview materials (presentations, handouts, leave-behinds)
- Track and research new business opportunities and maintain opportunity databases
- Schedule and participate in proposal strategy meetings, pre-proposal meetings, and debriefs
- Maintain and update marketing materials and databases (resumes, project profiles, photos, references, certifications, etc.)
- Assist with additional business development and marketing activities as needed
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- At least 1 year of marketing/proposal writing experience; A/E/C industry experience preparing SOQs and proposals preferred
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality and client service
