Analyst, Brokerage Placement - Wholesale, Farm and Agribusiness

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst, Brokerage Placement - Wholesale, Farm and Agribusiness based in the United States.

This full-time remote role provides analytical and operational support to a specialized wholesale brokerage team.
You’ll help evaluate new business and renewal submissions while researching insurance markets and coverage opportunities.
The position combines underwriting analysis, client service, negotiation, and relationship management.
You’ll work closely with agents, carriers, internal teams, and external partners to identify profitable opportunities.
Your attention to detail will help ensure accurate quotes, policy issuance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
The role offers an opportunity to deepen your expertise in commercial insurance and specialty brokerage.
Success requires sound judgment, adaptability, strong communication, and a consistent focus on service and results.

Accountabilities
  • Review and evaluate new business and renewal submissions for acceptability and alignment with applicable underwriting guidelines.
  • Analyze insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions based on available products, markets, and risk characteristics.
  • Research agency, carrier, and market information to support informed underwriting and brokerage decisions.
  • Negotiate coverage terms and requirements with precision and issue accurate quotes and bind policies within established timelines.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain complete underwriting files and ensure documentation meets applicable standards.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific insurance regulations and surplus lines requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with agents, carriers, internal colleagues, and external partners to identify and develop profitable business opportunities.
  • Support team and individual production objectives by contributing to the growth of policies in force, premium, and overall book profitability.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, providing timely responses and addressing inquiries within established service-level standards.
  • Educate agencies on relevant carriers and insurance products while directing opportunities outside the area of expertise to the appropriate resources.
  • Meet brokerage process requirements and service-level agreements while coordinating individual priorities with broader team and business objectives.
  • Continuously develop underwriting and product knowledge and contribute expertise to effective consultation and problem resolution.
Requirements
  • Active Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines licenses, or the ability to obtain the required licenses within 45 days.
  • At least 2 years of related insurance experience is preferred; an undergraduate degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Commercial Lines insurance experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, analyze, and recommend appropriate solutions to insurance needs.
  • Working knowledge of state-specific brokerage requirements and applicable insurance laws and regulations, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, consult, and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use job-related insurance, brokerage, and business software.
  • Demonstrated strengths in product knowledge, technical and functional skills, consultation, negotiation, interpersonal relationships, and delivering results.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting service standards.
  • Flexibility and adaptability when responding to changing business, market, or customer needs.
  • Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or an equivalent credential are a plus.
