MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High school graduate/GED required
- Graduate of IDPH or NREMT-P approved Paramedic program with Illinois Department of Public Health EMT-P certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- International Trauma Life Support certification
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two years of experience in Emergency Medical Services or Hospital Emergency Department setting
- Completion of trauma orientation
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
