FITbear InstructorFor Fitness Professionals wishing to instruct group fitness classes in a higher education setting up. You must have relevant certifications with proof of completion for any fitness certification program.

Job Description:

This position is for Fitness Professionals who wish to instruct group fitness classes in the FITbear program, which is Barnard College’s group fitness program. Classes offered include Strength Training, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Kickbox, and Cardio Dance, but those who have certifications in other modalities will be considered. Upon review of your application and qualifications, you’ll be invited to audition on Barnard’s campus located on 117th and Broadway where all classes will be held.

The Pay Rate is $48/hour.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to program and instruct fitness classes, general fitness certification (personal training and/or group fitness), or specialty certifications (yoga, pilates, Zumba, etc.), ability to take feedback.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
