Role Summary
The Guest Services Associate serves as a welcoming first point of contact for GenSpace members and visitors. This role helps create a warm, organized, and positive experience at the front desk while supporting member check-in when needed and answering basic questions.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–4:30 PM
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Operations & Innovation Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome members and visitors and provide friendly, professional front desk support.
- Support member check-in, attendance, and basic updates in GenSpace systems, when applicable.
- Answer phones and respond to routine member questions about schedules, classes, and GenSpace policies.
- Help members navigate the space and find classes or activities.
- Support basic membership needs, including member cards and routine account questions.
- Assist with device checkout, and other front desk processes.
- Keep the front desk and member-facing areas organized and stocked.
- Provide light support for tours, events, and member activities as needed.
- Escalate member concerns, policy questions, or unusual situations to the appropriate staff member.
Qualifications
- Warm, approachable, and comfortable working with older adults.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Comfortable working in a busy, member-facing environment.
- Basic comfort with email and online systems.
- Experience in reception, hospitality, customer service, community programming, or senior services is a plus.
- Korean or Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
