We offer civil and structural engineering, subsurface utility engineering, planning + landscape architecture, survey, right of way, and construction + bridge inspection services to public and private clients throughout Texas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The engineering intern will spend 10 weeks working closely with experienced engineers and other team members to gain practical experience in the field. Responsibilities include assisting with tasks, data collection, administrative duties, and contributing to project completion. This role provides valuable exposure to engineering practices and real-world projects.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Work on real projects alongside experienced professionals
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple disciplines
  • Assist with design work, testing, data analysis, research, documentation, and field work
  • Collect and analyze data from experiments, simulations, or site visits and help draw meaningful conclusions
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and complete assigned project tasks
  • Organize files, maintain records, and assist with scheduling and coordination efforts
  • Learn industry best practices and develop technical and professional skills through hands-on experience
  • Build relationships through mentorship, networking, and collaboration opportunities
  • Explore potential career paths within the engineering, planning, surveying, and design professions
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as needed

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles
  • Basic knowledge of engineering software and tools

SKILLS:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid work ethics and demonstration of professionalism

EDUCATION:

  • Actively pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Engineering or related field.
