Job Description

Head of Revenue Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Revenue Operations based in United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity to build and lead a revenue operations function from the ground up within a rapidly scaling B2B SaaS environment.
You will shape the strategy and execution across marketing, sales, customer, and partner operations, with direct visibility into company-wide growth initiatives.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring you to build processes, teams, systems, and operating rhythms from 0 to 1.
You will be responsible for improving pipeline generation, forecasting, deal velocity, retention, partner contribution, and overall revenue performance.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Partnerships, you will create alignment across the full revenue lifecycle.
The environment is highly autonomous, fast-paced, and ambiguity-friendly, with a strong emphasis on ownership, urgency, experimentation, and measurable outcomes.
This role is particularly suited to a builder who enjoys creating scalable infrastructure while remaining close to the day-to-day execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and implement a comprehensive revenue operations strategy spanning marketing, sales, customer, and partner operations, optimizing the end-to-end revenue lifecycle for sustainable growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, lead, and mentor a high-performing revenue operations team while establishing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, document, and scale operating processes covering demand generation, sales forecasting, pipeline management, customer retention, and partner strategy.
  • Evaluate, select, acquire, and integrate a best-in-class revenue technology stack that improves efficiency, visibility, and execution across the organization.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Partnerships to align strategies, streamline workflows, and maintain consistent execution for target buyers.
  • Translate go-to-market initiatives into actionable programs designed to increase pipeline, accelerate sales cycles, improve win rates, and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Define and monitor revenue KPIs such as growth, pipeline velocity, retention, and partner contribution, using data to identify bottlenecks and guide business decisions.
  • Operate as a strategic doer, balancing long-term planning and leadership with hands-on work such as building playbooks, configuring systems, documenting processes, and training teams.
  • Lead transformative revenue operations initiatives and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and cross-functional execution.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations, or related functions, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building revenue operations functions or leading major transformation initiatives from the ground up within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, developing, and managing cross-functional teams in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable processes, organizational structures, and technology stacks across marketing, sales, customer, and partner operations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with experience defining KPIs, interpreting revenue data, managing performance metrics, and using insights to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to create alignment and drive decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • A strong 0-to-1 mindset and demonstrated ability to operate independently, take ownership, and move initiatives forward without relying on established playbooks.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with tactical execution and working with urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Familiarity with legal industry workflows, legal text processing, or legal technology is a plus.
  • Experience with AI technologies and revenue operations platforms is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDICC or Command of the Message is a plus.
  • Experience implementing technology stacks and contributing to technical or process documentation is desirable.
Benefits:
  • High-impact leadership opportunity with significant autonomy to build a revenue operations function from the ground up.
  • Direct visibility into company-wide growth initiatives and the ability to shape marketing, sales, customer, and partner operations.
  • Distributed work environment with team members across North America and planned expansion into Europe.
  • Hub-based approach with regular coworking sessions, customer dinners, team gatherings, and company offsites.
  • Up to 10% travel for team members located outside established office hubs, with additional travel potentially required for customer-facing activities.
  • Team members within 50 miles of the San Francisco Bay Area or Provo, Utah offices work together on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
  • Opportunity to help establish and shape future in-person hub cultures as the organization expands.
  • Fast-paced, AI-driven environment with substantial exposure to technology, revenue strategy, and organizational transformation.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity, diversity, and reasonable accommodations.
  • The source posting does not specify a salary range or formal healthcare, retirement, paid leave, or other compensation benefits.
