SEM Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SEM Specialist based in India.

This is an opportunity for an experienced search marketing professional to join a high-performing performance marketing team focused on driving measurable growth. You will take ownership of paid search campaigns across major advertising platforms, balancing strategic planning with hands-on optimization. The role offers broad exposure to campaign management, performance analytics, competitor research, and conversion-focused marketing. You will use data to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and maximize return on investment across campaigns of varying scale and complexity. Working closely with paid search colleagues and marketing stakeholders, you will contribute directly to online visibility, conversions, revenue, and overall business performance. Accountabilities:
  • Set up, manage, and continuously optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft/Bing Ads.
  • Collaborate with the paid search team to develop, refine, and implement campaigns designed to drive growth, traffic, conversions, and revenue.
  • Monitor campaign performance and analyze key metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve online visibility, campaign efficiency, and conversion performance.
  • Assist the Paid Search Manager by providing actionable recommendations, performance insights, and optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor research using relevant industry tools to identify competitor strengths and weaknesses, uncover market trends, and inform paid search strategies.
  • Manage campaigns across different levels of scale and complexity while maintaining performance and quality.
  • Track and optimize key performance indicators, including CTR, CPC, conversion rates, ROI, and revenue-related metrics.
  • Apply PPC best practices across bidding, keyword targeting, ad copy, campaign structure, and landing-page relevance.
  • Ensure campaigns are accurately configured, regularly monitored, and optimized in line with performance objectives.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid search/PPC campaigns.
  • Strong practical experience with Google Ads and Bing/Microsoft Ads, with a demonstrated ability to optimize campaigns and deliver measurable results.
  • In-depth understanding of PPC strategy, including keyword targeting, bidding strategies, ad copy optimization, campaign structure, and landing-page relevance.
  • Proven ability to manage accounts of varying sizes and complexity, including campaigns targeting larger audiences and budgets.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to interpret KPIs such as CTR, CPC, conversion rate, ROI, traffic, conversions, and revenue.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, creating pivot tables, performing analysis, and translating campaign data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard marketing and analytics tools such as SEMrush, Google Analytics, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience using automated bidding strategies such as Target CPA and Target ROAS.
  • Strong understanding of PPC best practices and the ability to continuously identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency and return on investment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated focus on achieving and exceeding performance targets.
  • Strong attention to detail when setting up, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize independently, stay organized, and maintain productivity across multiple projects.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for search marketing and the wider digital landscape, with a commitment to staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices.
