Consultant OTC Sales Processing & Reporting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant – OTC Sales Processing & Reporting based in India.

This is a hands-on finance opportunity supporting global sales processing, reporting, and data-quality activities within a fast-paced international environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring sales data is accurate, contractual requirements are respected, and financial processes run efficiently.
The position combines sales reporting, invoicing, revenue accruals, account reconciliations, and process improvement.
You will collaborate with finance teams, offshore partners, technology teams, and stakeholders across multiple international markets.
Your analytical work will help identify root causes behind discrepancies and strengthen the quality and reliability of financial data.
The role also provides exposure to global intercompany invoicing and royalty-related processes across several territories.
This is a two-year contract offering a strong opportunity to develop international finance operations expertise while working within a collaborative global team.

Accountabilities
  • Review, audit, and process worldwide sales reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual terms and agreements.
  • Analyze sales and data-quality reports, identifying inaccuracies, discrepancies, and inconsistencies across financial and corporate systems.
  • Investigate issues to determine root causes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve data and reporting discrepancies.
  • Process invoices for assigned territories while ensuring compliance with applicable tax, foreign-exchange, and e-invoicing requirements.
  • Reconcile clearing accounts at month-end, ensuring required accounting entries and revenue accruals are accurately recorded.
  • Coordinate account reconciliation certifications and ensure outstanding balances are fully identified, understood, and appropriately addressed.
  • Monitor and follow up on invoicing requests to ensure they are completed within established deadlines.
  • Coordinate workload distribution with offshore/BPO partners and monitor execution against agreed timelines.
  • Oversee quarterly intercompany royalty invoicing across assigned international territories.
  • Coordinate quarterly invoicing issued to affiliated entities by business process outsourcing and shared-service teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, data quality, and operational efficiency across teams and markets.
  • Develop recommendations based on root-cause analysis and help implement practical solutions to recurring issues.
  • Communicate sales and royalty reporting concerns clearly to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Systems & Technology teams, offshore partners, and other finance functions on shared priorities and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, sales processing, reporting, or a related function.
  • Experience within the music, entertainment, media, or another comparable industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales reporting, financial data analysis, invoicing, reconciliations, and revenue-related processes.
  • Experience analyzing information across multiple corporate systems and identifying discrepancies or data-quality issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Prior experience with SAP, royalty management systems, sales systems, or comparable financial platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced or intermediate proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with management, finance teams, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative, globally distributed team.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Professional proficiency in English across written, verbal, and reading contexts is required.
  • Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to work US-aligned hours during the initial training period, approximately 4:30 PM–1:30 AM IST.
  • Ability to transition to APAC/UK working hours following training, approximately 10:00 AM–6:30 PM IST.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working remotely with occasional office attendance in Mumbai.
