Job Description

Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in the United States.

This is a high-impact product design role shaping AI-powered experiences for millions of musicians worldwide.
You’ll design across Web, Desktop, TV, Mobile, and plugins, creating a cohesive ecosystem for learning, practicing, and music production.
The role sits at the intersection of exceptional interaction design, complex AI capabilities, and professional audio workflows.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI, Data, Marketing, and leadership to define problems and ship meaningful solutions quickly.
Your work will turn sophisticated technology into intuitive experiences that feel natural to musicians and producers.
The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and built around ownership, experimentation, direct feedback, and continuous learning.
This opportunity is particularly suited to a product designer who actively produces music and understands professional audio tools from the inside.

Accountabilities
  • Design end-to-end experiences across Web, Desktop, TV, Mobile, and plugins while maintaining a coherent and scalable product ecosystem.
  • Create intuitive user experiences that translate complex AI and audio capabilities into simple, approachable workflows.
  • Design products that support musicians and producers across practicing, learning, rehearsing, songwriting, recording, mixing, and production.
  • Conduct and synthesize user research with musicians across different experience levels and use cases, turning insights into actionable product direction.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, AI, Data, Marketing, and leadership to define problems, evaluate solutions, align priorities, and deliver products.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high-quality interaction patterns across platforms.
  • Move rapidly between different levels of fidelity, from early sketches and concepts to interactive and coded prototypes.
  • Use prototypes, interaction design, animation, and experimentation to resolve complex product questions and communicate design intent.
  • Participate actively in design critiques, providing and incorporating direct, specific feedback that continuously raises the quality bar.
  • Navigate ambiguous and zero-to-one product challenges, making thoughtful trade-offs between simplicity, scalability, technical complexity, and user value.
  • Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders ranging from engineers and product teams to senior executives.
  • Bring firsthand music-production expertise to product decisions while continuing to validate assumptions through direct research with users.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional product design experience creating complex software products used regularly by real customers.
  • Deep, hands-on experience producing music using professional creative tools.
  • Strong fluency with DAWs and VST/AU plugins, with a solid understanding of recording, MIDI, mixing, routing, signal flow, and professional audio workflows.
  • A portfolio demonstrating the ability to make powerful or technically complex products feel simple, intuitive, and engaging.
  • Experience designing AI-native products and addressing UX challenges associated with probabilistic or AI-driven systems.
  • Strong command of interaction design and the ability to select, adapt, or create patterns that work consistently across Web, Desktop, TV, and Mobile.
  • Ability to move quickly from concept to prototype, including coded prototypes when appropriate; familiarity with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools is expected.
  • Experience working in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments without relying on established specifications, design systems, or playbooks.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to independently engage customers, observe workflows, synthesize findings, and translate them into product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design reasoning and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong product thinking, systems thinking, visual and interaction design craft, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple time zones, with strong async communication and independent decision-making skills.
  • Curious, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working with significant ownership and a bias toward action.
  • Candidates based in the United States or Brazil are preferred, given the team’s geographic distribution.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Fully remote, full-time position.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Physical and mental health support.
  • Learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work on AI-powered creative technology used by millions of musicians.
  • Highly collaborative, distributed international team environment.
  • Significant ownership and autonomy in shaping product experiences and design systems.
  • Location-based benefits that may vary depending on where you are based.
