This role sits at the intersection of analytics engineering and advanced data analysis, combining technical depth with strong business partnership. You will own the full data lifecycle, from raw ingestion through transformation, modeling, and visualization, enabling reliable and decision-ready insights across the organization. Acting as a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and scalable data models. The position requires hands-on expertise in dbt, SQL, and modern cloud data platforms, alongside the ability to design semantic layers and intuitive BI experiences. You will also contribute directly to Looker development, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with business needs. This is a high-impact, autonomous role where you will influence both data architecture and strategic decision-making in a fast-moving digital health environment.
Design, build, and maintain analytics-ready data models, dbt transformations, semantic layers, and Looker dashboards to support business intelligence needs
- Own the end-to-end analytics engineering lifecycle, from raw data sources through transformation and final reporting layers
- Develop and optimize dbt models, including testing, debugging, lineage tracking, and implementation of scalable data architecture patterns
- Define modeling decisions such as grain, incremental strategies, and data contracts to ensure reliable and consistent datasets
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate complex questions into structured analyses and actionable insights
- Collaborate with core data engineering teams to enhance foundational data models and improve overall data reliability
- Build and maintain LookML models and explores to enable self-service analytics for business users
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to support strategic initiatives, including cohort analysis, experimentation, and performance evaluation
- Evaluate data limitations, challenge assumptions, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensure data solutions are well-documented, version-controlled, and aligned with governance and quality standards
5–7 years of experience spanning analytics engineering, data engineering, and/or advanced data analysis roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on production experience with dbt, including modeling, testing, and deployment workflows
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Solid understanding of semantic layers and metric definitions in BI tools
- Strong LookML expertise with ability to build, optimize, and refactor scalable Looker models and explores
- Experience working with version control systems and CI/CD workflows in data environments
- Ability to independently manage end-to-end analytics projects with minimal supervision
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights clearly and effectively
- Experience in digital health, healthcare data, or regulated environments is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI governance, and healthcare data ecosystems is highly valued
- Experience with experimentation, cohort analysis, or product analytics is a strong advantage
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000
