You will work within a modern data ecosystem, leveraging cloud platforms and enterprise BI tools to build scalable dashboards, semantic models, and reporting frameworks. - Design, develop, test, deploy, and support business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, semantic layers, and data models using enterprise BI and cloud data platforms.
- Translate business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and a single source of truth.
- Write, validate, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL and BigQuery queries to support reporting, data reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain BI components such as datasets, dashboards, visualizations, filters, parameters, and semantic structures.
- Ensure adherence to development standards related to performance, security, governance, data quality, and deployment processes.
- Execute testing, validation, and data reconciliation activities to ensure readiness for production environments.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve BI and data environments, including system performance, data refreshes, query efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with business, data engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver robust and scalable analytics solutions.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, and delays that may impact delivery timelines or business outcomes.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, and AI-based or agent-driven analytics solutions where applicable.
- Bachelor’s or college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence development, data analytics, reporting, or data warehouse environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including query writing, optimization, joins, aggregations, and data transformations.
- 3+ years of experience developing dashboards, reports, datasets, and visual analytics using enterprise BI tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, data governance, and data quality practices.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable BI and analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including testing, documentation, deployment, and Agile or Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, is considered a strong asset.
- Exposure to BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Looker, or similar platforms is an asset.
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, AI tools, conversational analytics, or customer data platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, merchandising, or financial analytics environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail, with excellent communication skills.
- Competitive salary ranging from CAD $74,500 to $111,800, based on experience and qualifications.
